The 13th Rendez-vous Bundesplatz with the “Mystic” programme was a success. Around 386’500 visitors were amazed by the fairy-tale scenes from the depths of the forest this year. The organisers are satisfied with the audience response.
The white spiders that covered the entire Federal Palace with their webs, the colourful butterflies in their haute couture show, the dancing honey bear and the woodpeckers that made a mess of the parliament façade with their beaks – according to a social media survey, these were the audience’s favourite scenes at the 13th Rendez-vous-Bundesplatz. For five weeks, the Bundesplatz in Bern was bathed in the mystical colours of the forest three times an evening – except on Mondays.
Guests from near and far came to be enchanted by the spectacle of light and sound. A delegation even travelled from Korea. “But this year, the focus is not on the sheer number of visitors,” says producer and organiser Brigitte Roux. It rained too much for that and, in addition to Monday, there were other evenings without screenings due to important political appointments in the Swiss parliament. “But the people who saw the spectacle really enjoyed it and I received a lot of wonderful feedback,” she summarizes.
